ECORD Distinguished Lecture – 27th April 2015
The University of Hull is pleased to host an ECORD Distinguished Lecture by Gabriele Uenzelmann-Neben, from the Alfred-Wegener-Institut Helmholtz-Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung, Germany.
The lecture takes place on 27 April 2015, 6pm in Cohen in Lecture Theatre 3, followed by a reception in the Map Room.
The talk is titled “Reconstructing palaeo-circulation: Reading sediment drifts with the aid of IODP information” and the abstract can be found here.
ECORD (European Consortium of Ocean Reseach Drilling) has been sponsoring a Distinguished Lecturer Programme since 2007, which is designed to bring the exciting scientific discoveries of IODP (International Ocean Discovery Program) to the geosciences community in ECORD member countries and to promote new members to ECORD. We are one of only a handful of UK universities to be honoured with a lecture.
